My "By the Blood" Magickal System

Oh, my. When I first talked about the subject in other related comms, the project was only in its infancy. Something vague about my familial heritage, exploring my family in general, with Yezidi, Luciferian and Voodoo imagery. Not to mention the inspiration from Steven Leyba's USAF live gigs CD, full of ritual and ancestral summonings.

Well the altar to start with has definitely evolved since then. With some scattered few inspiring imagery related to my ancestral heritage, The Yezidi, Voodoo and photos of certain worthy family members with my father at the top. Two scarves at the sides which compliment the whole thing. As for the ALTAR itself I managed to acquire an old dresser drawer (I find them perfect for shelving and altars... and cheap) which took a little hard work; don't even ask.

In the mythology I'm constructing to surround my new system, a certain strain in my family are the "Children of Lucifer" whom he was the progenitor of when he fell and they have great power. With the Yezidi theme, there are also secrets regarding my full intentions...;)

Old books with lots of pictures that you don't really need anymore? A great resource, for the occult and the varied imagery it uses, I'll tell you that. Those thin little beginners guides to history and animals that National Geographic puts out.

Now with tonights events (which I will get to in a moment) and everything that now adorns it (there's more to come; very important stuff and my mum and I are working hard to get it), it's surpassed the "infancy" and inspiration stage and has evolved into at least a teenager. In LaVey's Satanic Rituals there are five books of Yezidi scriptures that exemplify what I'm trying to achieve perfectly. Tonight I performed a ceremony at the altar, reading these Yezidi scriptures, and.... it was glorious.

Thusly, I cannot wait, but must, to read the Yezidi "Black Book". And reading those words that I did? I'm completely confused as to how they relate to Islam (I read that they live in harmony with ole' M's followers, respect the Koran and even consider it a companion to The Black book). So with that question on my mind and the enthusiasm to read more from the source of those words, that book is a priority for me now.

How is this magical? The chosen family members I exalt on this altar I chose because they are very Satanic, or strongly express a Satanic quality via their personality which inspires me. Like Leyba with his Satanic ancestor magic I wish to call upon their spirits as devils for magical deeds. Speaking of which, I finally received his documentary in the mail and had to watch it twice in one day, once even convincing my mother to watch it with me, it was so fantastic.

I'm curious. How are you defining "Satanic," in reference to the qualities of your ancestors?

Laveyan.

Yes, that much I gathered. I meant, what qualities struck you, and what was Laveyan about them?

My dad was utterly Satanic. Otherwise, we're getting too personal for me, here.

Fair enough. Thanks.
